A heartwarming gesture started by the University of Iowa’s football team this season momentarily puts each of their home games on hold. At the end of the first quarter at the Hawkeyes’ Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, players and fans alike wave to children at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, Yahoo reports. The building is adjacent to the hospital. During Saturday’s game against the Ohio State Buckeyes, both teams and the thousands of fans in the stadium waved to the children looking down from the hospital’s windows after the first quarter. The team began the wave during the first week of the season and has done it at each home game.
