North Carolina Police Beat and Tase Man for Jaywalking.

A North Carolina man is seen being held by a police officer while his partner beats him & tases him for trying to escape after being told to stop jaywalking. The report notes that the incident occurred in August of 2017, and has been under investigation for months, with Hickman resigning in January according to the Asheville Police Chief Police Chief Tammy Hooper. Rush was stopped after crossing the street multiple times before being told that he is going to be written up for jaywalking. Rush was initially charged with assault on a government official, resisting arrest, obstructing an officer, trespass and traffic offenses — with all charges dropped by Buncombe County District Attorney’s Office on Sept. 18.
