Video has emerged of an NYPD officer repeatedly punching the head of 16-year-old Alfred Burns. The incident occurred in Marble Hill, Manhattan, around 9am on Friday after the teen allegedly tried to steal a bicycle. When the officers approached, Burns reportedly began to struggle, knocking one of them to the ground and putting his hands on his neck. That is when the other officer began his assault. Burns was arrested and charged with assault, petit larceny, resisting arrest, criminal possession of stolen property and giving a fake name, according to authorities. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital for treatment and released. Police say Burns was resisting arrest because he was wanted in connection with an attempted robbery that took place in The Bronx on July 31.
