Jarome Liason, now 12, was cuffed by an unidentified school resource officer at Gen. John Stricker Middle School last year. The boy, who was 11 at the time and has autism, was left restrained and crying on the floor of the school for 23 minutes in the incident that took place just days after he started at the middle school. Jarome required medical attention the next day for a broken bone in his right wrist. His family slammed the school saying the special needs student was treated like a ‘criminal’ and is now afraid of cops.
