Five Oklahoma City police officers are facing charges of first-degree manslaughter in the shooting death of a 15-year-old armed robbery suspect.
Stavian Rodriguez, 15, was shot and killed by Oklahoma City police after they said he tried to rob a gas station at gunpoint in November last year.
According to a news release Wednesday from Oklahoma City police, they learned on Tuesday that the Oklahoma County District Attorney would be filing the charge of manslaughter in the first degree against five officers who discharged their firearms during the incident: Officers Bethany Sears, Jared Barton, Corey Adams, John Skuta and Brad Pemberton.
