The documents, obtained by the Washington Post and Buzzfeed News via the Freedom of Information Act, raise several questions about what top health officials in the United States knew and didn’t know about the origins of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Now, a resurfaced interview of a Nobel prize-winning immunologist slamming the NIH head is making waves across the Internet. Kary Mullis, who won the Nobel Prize in 1993 for inventing the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing process used to diagnose coronavirus cases, reportedly said that Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) since 1984, lacked knowledge of medicine and was willing to lie on national television. Mullis reportedly also admitted in another resurfaced video that a PCR test “doesn’t tell you you’re sick.”
âGuys like Fauci get up there and start talking, you know, he doesnât know anything really about anything and Iâd say that to his face. Nothing,” Mullis said of the highest-paid United States federal government employee in a resurfaced video interview. “The man thinks you can take a blood sample and stick it in an electron microscope and if itâs got a virus in there youâll know it. He doesnât understand electron microscopy and he doesnât understand medicine and he should not be in a position like heâs in.”
“Most of those guys up there on the top are just total administrative people and they donât know anything about whatâs going on in the body,” Mullis continued. “You know, those guys have got an agenda, which is not what we would like them to have being that we pay for them to take care of our health in some way. Theyâve got a personal kind of agenda. They make up their own rules as they go. They change them when they want to. And they smugly, like Tony Fauci does not mind going on television in front of the people who pay his salary and lie directly into the camera,â he added.
