Footage shows the driver apparently asleep or barely conscious throughout the journey. A woman thought to be the driver’s girlfriend is seen passed out in the passenger seat with her head slumped between the seats. The female passenger in the back repeatedly tells the driver he is ‘scaring’ her. At one point, the driver is seen in the rear-view mirror with his head resting against the headrest and his eyes fully closed. When the driver appears to regain consciousness later in the footage he seems baffled by news he had his eyes closed telling her ‘that’s weird’ and then ironically regales his history of ‘multiple’ car crashes.
